DTC Open House October 13th!

It's time to get out the vote!

November 8, 2022 is election day!

Bristol Democrats Host Open House at New Headquarters

With less than 30 days to go to the State Election, the Bristol Democrats are hosting an Open House at their new Headquarters on Thursday evening,  October 13th, from 5pm until 8:30pm. The Headquarters is located in the Bristol Plaza on Rt. 6, between 5 Below and The Dollar Tree.
Congressman John Larson will be attending, as will Greg Hahn, candidate for State Senate - 31st District, Andrew Rasmussen-Tuller, candidate for State Rep - 77th District and Mary Fortier, candidate for State Rep - 79th District.  Statewide candidates have also been invited.

"We have been getting great walk-in traffic during open HQ hours," stated Democratic Party Chairman Rippy Patton. "People are concerned about the women's right to choose and other issues that have been circulating locally like diversity issues, the almost fumble on Wheeler Health and the cannabis vote."

"I got involved at the local level because I want our community to embrace everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, race or religion," said DTC volunteer Mel Bee. "The Bristol Democrats are absolutely a big tent and I have felt very welcomed, which is why I am spending time volunteering this year."

"What I am excited about is that we have 3 great local candidates, Mary and Greg had great reputations on the City Council, and Andrew is a hard-working member of the City's Economic Development Commission," said Vice Chair Michael Petosa. "They have both been endorsed by a number of state organizations and labor groups and will represent Bristol's interests well in Hartford."

Members of the public are encouraged to stop in and meet the candidates, have some pizza and refreshments, pick up candidate signs for the statewide and local candidates, fill out an absentee ballot application, and more. For more information, please call the Democratic Headquarters at 860-506-4020.
