Mayor Zoppo on Face the State

Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu appeared on WFSB's Face the State with Dennis House on Sunday, December 9, 2018 to discuss what local leaders want and need from the incoming Lamont administration.
Left to Right: Steve Everett, Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, Nancy Johnson, Sandra Pierog, Dennis House.

Among the topics discussed, Ellen emphasized the importance of thoughtfully addressing the State budget, working to maintain jobs in CT and to bring in new jobs and new employers to our region, and recognizing that "something has to give" when it comes to the financial burdens imposed upon Bristol and other towns by Statewide unfunded regulatory mandates.

She noted that Bristol has been regionalizing some of its services, which helps save money, and suggested that a State-wide push to regionalize municipal services would result in even greater savings.
