BRISTOL - Gov. Ned Lamont announced Thursday 11 appointments to the Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council, which included city Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu. “I am honored to serve at this very pivotal time,” the mayor said Thursday evening. “From all that is involved with implementing the Police Accountability Bill to ensuring that there is appropriate oversight and funding for critical police functions, training and enhanced education, I hope that what we have done in Bristol to create a positive community policing effort will be beneficial."
